I learned a variety of tips for each program in my pipeline, as well as how to better art direct myself and push for a better level of polish.
I learned how to use flow maps for antistrophic effect on hair, and be more mindful on how I layout my uvs for shader use when rendering. Got to try out Toolbag 4 for rendering, and I'm really impressed with the ray tracing. Seems like I needed less lights in the scene to get the same if not better effect compared to Toolbag 3.
